TEHRAN – International bodies have failed to help countries that are fighting drug trafficking, Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli said on Wednesday, warning that politicizing the issue will seriously harm countries in the campaign against drugs.
He made the remarks in a meeting with his Singaporean counterpart on the sidelines of the 61st session of UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs, where they highlighted the necessity of cooperation of the two countries in dealing with drug trafficking.
The two sides also emphasized the necessity of adopting proper strategies to strengthen joint cooperation in dealing with narcotic drugs and psychedelics, Mehr reported.
